On April 5 the City of Nanaimo honoured me with the 2018 Excellence in Culture Award, here's the video the produced for the ceremony

Nico and I just showcased at Pacific Contact and played a concert with the legendary ANN MORTIFEE for Festival Nanaimo. Now we're heade to Duncan Showroom April 21 and Cortes Island May 12. Come see us before Nico heads to Chemainus to musical direct GREASE for the summer.

Congratulations Valley Hennell and Kari Burk for winning a 2016 Academics' Choice Award for 'Snapshot of a Soul Place in the land of special needs' which has already been honoured with 2016 Family Choice and National Parenting Products (NAPPA) Awards. This illustrated memoir by Kari Burk is based on the life of our 26 year old granddaughter Mielle, with over 40 original paintings and drawings
