ROOTS & GROOVES is in the news a lot this month, featured in Bowen Island Undercurrent Whistler Pique and INSPIRED magazine!

Just back from the wonderful Coldsnap Festival in Prince George, Nico and I touring ROOTS & GROOVES to six communities: join us for lively Family Day Fun in Maple Ridge at the ACT Theatre Feb 12, with free activities from 11 am to 3 pm. Then we'll head to Whistler Feb 14 for a  Valentine's Day show of love and laughter.

Feb 10-111 we're in Sooke and Victoria,  Feb 16-17 Bowen Island and Brackendale, March 24 on Cortes Island. We'll showcase at Pacific Contact April 7. We're touring until the beginning of May so let us know if you'd like a show in your town or your living room!

We're excited and honoured to share the stage with legendary singer ANN MORTIFEE in a double bill matinee at the Port Theatre March 11, presented by Festival Nanaimo. I first worked with Ann when she cast me as Sufferton in Reflections on Crooked Walking in 1982 and it's been decades since we've performed together. Hope you can join us for this historic event.

Congratulations Valley Hennell and Kari Burk for winning a 2016 Academics' Choice Award for 'Snapshot of a Soul Place in the land of special needs' which has already been honoured with 2016 Family Choice and National Parenting Products (NAPPA) Awards. This illustrated memoir by Kari Burk is based on the life of our 26 year old granddaughter Mielle, with over 40 original paintings and drawings
